Final Hours of our Campaign for The Shepherd, Volume 4: The Tether
over 1 year ago – Wed, Oct 30, 2024 at 11:34:06 AM

We are just under 17 hours left to go! So far we have met our first goal of $4,000!! In addition, we are only a few backers away from hitting our second goal of $5,000!

To date, we have $4,459, so we are only $541 away from making our target!

Roberto and I are asking all of our friends, family, and fans to help us in this final push to $5,000 by sharing our campaign. Of course, if you haven't yet pledged but would like to do so--we would be grateful to receive your support!

We feel that we have some cool pledge levels as well as some interesting and unique add-ons! For example, Roberto is offering painted versions of BOTH our 3D-printed Legio statue AND our brand new, 16-inch replica of the Staff of Truth!

Of course, we have more traditional add-ons, like these two CGC graded slabs featuring Shepherd covers by Joseph Schmalke!

New Shepherd Kickstarter Launching October 1st!!
over 1 year ago – Fri, Sep 27, 2024 at 07:06:16 AM

Hello everyone! I just wanted to remind you that the new Kickstarter campaign for The Shepherd, Volume 4: The Tether will launch on Tuesday, October 1st! If you haven't already, please consider following our Pre-Launch page and supporting us:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2025955669/the-shepherd-volume-4-the-tether

In other news, I thought I would share this latest Shepherd page produced by Luca Panciroli. Please note that the character "William J. Nichols" is actually portrayed by one of our supporters from the Kickstarter campaign for Volume 3 -- my friend and colleague Evan Pozios!

Here's Evan in real life...

And now in "bad guy" mode...

Pretty cool, right?

At this time, all of our supporters who selected the Cameos have been drawn into the next Shepherd story (in this case the REBOOT of Volume 1)! We will share the pages in the days ahead--so stick around!

Team Shepherd Prepares to Launch New Kickstarter Campaign for Volume 4 The Tether
over 1 year ago – Tue, Aug 27, 2024 at 09:44:17 AM

You've supported us in the past--and we need your support again!

Team Shepherd is busy prepping for the launch of our next crowdfunding campaign. This one is intended to support the printing of The Shepherd’s fourth volume, The Tether

This story is unlike anything we’ve done so far. It’s a romance infused with elements of mystery and gothic horror. It’s also unique in that we feature Val (Dr. Miller’s son) and reveal key details about our version of the afterlife. It's also unique in that it represents the first time in the Shepherd series where co-writer Roberto X. Molinari is the lead story writer!

We’re currently finalizing details, but we are planning for a launch date in early October. (The Halloween season should fit the story perfectly!)

At this time, we want to try to build momentum and excitement for this never before published Shepherd story! Please follow our pre-launch page and feel free to share this link:

Exclusive Preview!! Get Entangled in The Shepherd: "The Tether"
almost 2 years ago – Tue, Jul 02, 2024 at 09:40:00 AM

Hello, Andrea here. We’re messaging all of our supporters to share an exciting update.

Team Shepherd is gearing up for its next Kickstarter campaign. This campaign is for the hardcover edition of the comic’s fourth volume. Entitled “The Tether,” this volume is a 131-page story that mixes gothic horror and romance, resulting in something we think is special.

The synopsis for this volume is as follows:

For the past two years, the deceased Val Miller has been rescuing troubled souls in The Seam. Fighting alongside his father—who has taken up the mantle of The Shepherd—Val’s mission has shown him the horrifying, strange, and even beautiful parts of the afterlife.

Now, deep regret is starting to eat away at Val. Mourning the life that he can never have, Val restlessly wanders The Seam. He stumbled upon Maria, a young woman hunted by monstrous entities. Stepping in to save her, Val finds that Maria is the girl of his dreams. But who is Maria? What brought her to The Seam in the first place? And what nightmares lurk in the shadows of the afterlife?

This story was a lot of fun to write. Fans of the comic will appreciate the blend of tones, the focus on Val as a character, and the jaw-dropping art created by Jaime Rodríguez Martínez. Since you were kind enough to support our first campaign, we wanted to send you a digital copy of The Tether, Issue One! Read it, and let us know what you think!

We need YOUR help!!

Let me also share that we’re currently planning this Kickstarter campaign’s backer rewards. We want to make sure that people enjoy this campaign. Simply stated, we want to ask you—our most ardent supporters—what you would find appealing as rewards. Please give this some thought, and let us know your ideas by replying to this message!

We hope that you’re enjoying the adventures of The Shepherd. Know that this comic wouldn’t be possible without your support. Every cent contributed, every kind word shared… All of it has a real effect on what we do.

Thank you for your input! We hope you enjoy the story.

The Books are In and the 1st Wave of Rewards Went out Today!!
almost 2 years ago – Mon, Jun 03, 2024 at 03:37:33 PM

The books are in from the printer! And we are SO happy with how they turned out!!

On Saturday, I drove to Tampa, bringing with me a LOT of books for Roberto to sign. He recently accepted a job and moved from West Palm Beach--so I brought the books to him! He was more than happy to sign!

With the newly signed books in hand, I spent Sunday packing approximately 40+ rewards boxes, preparing them to be mailed to you!

Today, with the help of my daughter Lexi, I was able to ship out about two-thirds of the pile! This is all we have left--and they are scheduled to ship out on Tuesday!

Throughout this entire process, I just felt such a strong sense of gratitude. I know that I have said it before, but I really want to say it again: Thank you for your support! I am VERY proud of the books, and all of us at Team Shepherd hope that you enjoy our stories!!
